From Airkit’s code-free AI agents to Salesforce’s Agentforce.
Airkit began as a low-code platform and, in 2023, pivoted to AI by enabling clients to train agents for customer and tech support. The goal for Hakuna was to design a platform that allowed clients to train AI agents effectively. Training involved providing key information, reviewing real cases, running simulations, and analyzing performance to ensure reliability.

We began by defining our users through interviews and personas, shaping goals, features, and flows for the MVP. From early sketches to refined wireframes and finally high-fidelity designs, we iterated quickly with users and stakeholders while collaborating closely with developers.
We had just four months to design and build a new platform, all while AI was still in its early days; when skepticism about its reliability and trustworthiness was at its peak.

In October 2023, Airkit was acquired by Salesforce, and the solution we designed became the foundation for Agentforce; Salesforce’s AI-powered customer service platform.
After Airkit was acquired by Salesforce, we were invited to continue our collaboration by integrating our platform into Salesforce’s broader ecosystem. In under a year, we launched our solution within Salesforce as Agentforce, building autonomous AI agents for customer service, sales, and employee assistance using trusted data and NLP.
